Two story home in Spanish Fort, Alabama

This home consisted of brick and wood siding exterior walls. The client wanted all of the wood and brick painted the same color and sheen. We used two different product to acheive the desired outcome. All of the brick was conditioned with Loxon Conditioner, by Sherwin Williams, which acts like a primer on unpainted masonry. Next, we filled all cracks and recaulked all doors and windows with Loxon Elastomeric Caulk by Sherwin Williams. Finally we applied Loxon XP Elastomeric Coating, by Sherwin Williams, to all of the brick. By using Loxon XP and Loxon Elastomeric Caulk we were able to water proof all areas where these products were applied. Next, we applied Duration, by Sherwin Williams, to all wood areas of the home that were to be painted.

By applying the right products for the right surfaces this painting project will last for years.

This is my second time using Pro 1 Painters. So, yes, they are good. This is the second room I've had the popcorn ceiling scraped and painted and walls painted. There is no way around it, scraping a popcorn ceiling is a messy job but they kept it contained. This time my first contact was with Marissa, the production coordinator. She was very... pleasant. helpful, and professional. Her voice sounds like a smile. Seab came out to see what needed to be done. He was very friendly and professional. He did all the measurements and listened to what I had in mind and made suggestions where necessary. He got the estimate to me promptly. Jaime and Ruben scraped the ceiling and painted. They are real pros. I can't believe how smooth they got the ceiling. It's beautiful. This is an old Fairhope house, so after the ceiling dried, even though they had done two coats, yellow came through in some places. So I called Marissa and in a matter of a few days, Jaime and Ruben came back and painted it with Kilz and repainted. Jaime and Ruben were great .... good at their job, worked hard, very pleasant, no swearing and no smoking.I thought the price was very reasonable, not cheap, but for what I got very reasonable. Pro 1 Painters did an excellent job on doing interior and exterior painting on the Fort Morgan beach house. I had the exterior trim and interior touch up along with having the porch floors finished with a coating. Pro 1 was able to adjust their schedule to our needs since we also had a couple of exterior doors replaced and the recent storms we... had put my schedule for repairs behind in getting the doors hung. Pro 1 was able to return and finish up painting the doors once they were hung.My only complaints were a cut in the screen enclosing the back porch. Probably cut when the crew was finishing the back porch floor. Easily repaired but it was left unfixed. There also were some splatter marks on the exterior which was minor but touch up could have been done. I recently had the landscaping renewed and the crew did not take any due care to protect the landscaping.Overall, a happy customer and the complaints are easily taken care of. I do endorse Pro 1 Painters for your next painting project.read more

Ours was a particularly hard job, 1000 sf great room with 20' ceiling, lots of trim, doors, windows, etc; and lots of issues, like sheetrock cracks, backed out nail heads, etc. The Pro1 crew tackled the job like champs, keeping the mess to minimum, using the best paint products, making great sheetrock repairs, and applying the paint in crisp lines... with little to no slosh over. We are very pleased with the final job and the Pro1 personnel, especially Jamie, the job manager, and his crews. All the Pro1 staff (beginning/end) acted in a professional and courteous manor. Had my popcorn removed. The team was promptly on time everyday. They were very respectful to my 77 year old mother which was appreciated. The finished job on the ceilings look like they were smooth finished when built. Mess was a minimum and they cleaned up daily. I would absolutely recommend this team for your project.
