Half of what makes an interior repaint last is what happens before the paint comes out. Hairline cracks at corners, nail-pops above doors, the little ridge where the previous owner brushed through a roller — those don't disappear under one new coat, they telegraph through the second one. We treat prep as the job, not the warmup. And because you're living in the house while we work, the products and the pace both have to respect that.
Patch, sand to a sound edge, prime bare drywall, caulk every joint. Two coats after that is the easy part.
We default to low-VOC, low-odor systems so the room is back in use fast. With our humidity, recoat windows matter — we read the day, not just the can.
Pre-1978 home? We follow EPA RRP protocol. Containment, HEPA cleanup, the whole thing — federally required, and we're certified.

Down here the substrate decides everything. South and west elevations bake under UV and give up their color years before the shaded sides do. Within a couple miles of the bay, salt rusts nail heads into bleed-through stains. Hardie, stucco, and old cypress each want a different primer. We scope the house elevation by elevation, not as one flat number.
Hardie, stucco, brick, weathered cedar — each gets the correct coating built for it.
South and west walls take the brunt, so they get the harder spec and the closer look.
Salt-corroded fasteners get set and stain-blocked to try to slow down the inevitable rust bleed-through.
